Alex McDonald completed residency training in psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after completing medical school and his undergraduate work at the University of South Carolina.
He has specialized training and experience in psychiatric manifestations of medical illness. Dr. McDonald is Board Certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry and has special interests in OCD depression and bipolar disorder.
He grew up in Irmo, SC and now resides with his wife and two children in West Ashley.
